How To Create a Shortcut to the Catalog on Your Mobile Device

If you are unable to use the new mobile app on your smartphone because of version compatibilty or other issues, you can create a shortcut to the responsive catalog site.

The new mobile app requires iOS 16 for iPhone (iPhone 8 and later models). For Android devices, the minimum supported version is Android 12.

If your device does not meet these requirements and does not work with the new app, you can access the catalog at search.westlakelibrary.org—the site is responsive and will resize for your phone. Follow the directions below to save a shortcut to the catalog to your phone's home screen.

Android Devices

Step 1: Open your device's web browser (typically Chrome ).

Step 2: Type in search.westlakelibrary.org.

Step 3: Press the button in the top menu of your browser, then select Add to Home screen.

Step 4: Press Add then Add to home screen, or drag the icon to your home screen.

Step 5: Use all of the features of the catalog—resized to fit on your phone!

Apple Devices

Step 1: Open your device's web browser (typically Safari ).

Step 2: Type in search.westlakelibrary.org.

Step 3: Press the share button, then scroll down and select Add to Home Screen.

Step 4: Press Add. An icon will automatically be added to your home screen.

Step 5: Use all of the features of the catalog—resized to fit on your phone!
