Westlake Porter Public Library is an independent public library serving the residents of the city of Westlake, western Cuyahoga County and eastern Lorain County. Anyone who lives, works, owns property, or goes to school in Ohio can register for a free library card.

A valid email address is required to use the online application.
Your card number will work immediately with all of our digital platforms. You will have access to eBooks, digital media, and other online resources. Read about them on our Download & Stream page and our Databases & Subscriptions page, and visit us on social media for announcements. Your card number also allows you to use computer workstations in the library.
Your Digital Access Card will remain active indefinitely, as long as you use it once during the first 90 days and at least once a year after that.
You may also convert your Digital account to access our full complement of services. You can place holds on up to 10 physical items with your Digital account, but in order to check out physical materials like books, DVDs, or video games, you will need to bring in a valid photo ID with your current address. If your photo ID does not show your current address please bring along a piece of mail, a check, or another item that shows your current address.
