IT Senior Associate - 24 Hours

Brief Job Description

The IT Senior Associate assists both staff and patrons with the use and application of technology resources. Provides support to library staff including general computer equipment maintenance and repair. Works with and troubleshoots specialized library software. Troubleshoots and assists maintaining library hardware including but not limited to: PCs, printers, and copiers. Assists the IT Manager in the execution of library IT projects. Provides backup to the IT Manager in routine maintenance and reporting tasks.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills and a passion for customer service
  • Experienced at providing desktop technical support to end users
  • PC and Windows 10 and 11 troubleshooting skills and understanding of Microsoft Office applications and other common business applications
  • Basic understanding of networking and Windows Domain environments
  • Relevant Associate’s degree, Professional IT Certifications, and/or 2 years’ equivalent experience working in IT 
  • Experience in a public library a plus.

Hours

Part-time, 24 hours per week. Weekend and evening hours may be required as needed.

Position Classification

Pay rate: $18.26 – $25.74 per hour; grade 310, non-exempt; benefits include paid vacation, holidays and sick leave and retirement through the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS)

Brief Job Description

Under the direction of the Youth Services Manager, the Young Adult Librarian develops, plans, and implements young adult and tween programs. Maintains the Teen Lounge area as an active learning environment, advocating for the literary needs and appropriate development of this emerging segment of the community. Assists patrons in locating materials and information and using library equipment and resources.

Hours

40 hours per week. Daytime, evening and weekend hours required on a rotating basis and as needed.
